Well, it turns out, even by American standards of reckoning, that Cornwall is really far from Herefordshire. I was only able to briefly chat with the cider makers at Cornish Orchards at the Cornwall Food Fair. Amidst the crowds of people waiting to buy their cider, it was more than a little hard to ask any real questions. Our next trip to England for our follow up field work will certainly have a week or two set aside for the good folks of Cornwall. All I can say is their Cornish Farm House cider was very good. I tasted it from their samples and brought it back as a gift for the family I was staying with in Herefordshire. Also, their Wassail cider jug was super tasty and one of the few full bottles I was able to get on the plane back to Hawai`i, where it was a huge hit!
