Gregg's Pit Cider and Perry, Herefordshire, United Kingdom

Named for a small pond on the property, Gregg's Pit Cider and Perry is made from fruit harvested right from their own orchard. This orchard had some trees that were pushing 220 years of age. And still producing excellent fruit! Owners James Marsden and Helen Woodman have received many an award for their finely crafted cider and perry over the past few years. I was very pleased to see that they are still using a stone slab twin screw wooden cider press. Very impressive to watch the juice flow from that cheese!
