Crossman's Prime, Somerset, United Kingdom

Driving on the outskirts of Somerset I saw a lovely sign proclaiming "Cider" and had to stop. That is how I found out about Crossman's Prime Farmhouse Cider. Sadly the cider maker was not in when I stopped, but I had a chat with his sister. She told me they were growing 20 varieties of cider apples and from the tastes of their cider, I would say they put them all to good use. Very complex flavors here, though I did not try the sweet. Their dry was lovely, but oddly I think I preferred their medium sweet. The lady of the house, told me that the family had moved in some 20 years before, and their was an existing cider house there at the time. Once again the cider making spirits smile down on Somerset.
