1.2 Self Directed Growth Plans

Self Directed Growth Plans are for all PTS educators and experienced Administrators (3 or more years of experience) with an overall rating of "Proficient" or "Exemplary."

The plan is developed by the educator and signed by the evaluator.

NOTE: TeachPoint does not let the educator create this form. The educator should write the plan and send it to the evaluator for entry.

The plan must be completed by November 1.

• Length of plan:

2 Years if Rating of Impact on Student Learning “Moderate” or “High.”

1 Year if Rating of Impact on Student Learning “Low.”

NOTE: At this time, no experienced educator or administrator has a Rating of Impact on Student Learning. This rating will ultimately be generated using student results on District Determined Measures (DDMs) which are currently under development and are yet to be bargained. All Experienced Educators and Administrators who were rated "Proficient" or "Exemplary" should be on 2 Year Self Directed Growth Plans. There should be no experienced educators or administrators on a 1 Year Self Directed Growth Plans.

Required Observations:

• 2 Unannounced Observations during the cycle (1 or 2 years)

Sign Goal Setting Form after approval of Evaluator.

Sign Educator Plan form within 5 days of receipt. (Signature does not indicate agreement.) May include a response.

TeachPoint for Evaluator:

Sign the Goal Setting Form.

Create, Sign and Share Educator Plan Form by November 1.
