Summative Evaluation (Typically April 1, But April 8 in 2015)
• For all plans.
• At least 4 weeks before this is due, the educator must provide to the evaluator evidence of family engagement, professional responsibility and growth, and progress towards attaining professional practice and student learning goals. Educator may provide additional evidence.
• To be rated proficient overall, rating must be proficient or exemplary in Standards I and II (Curriculum, Planning and Instruction and Teaching all Students.)
• Evaluator will meet with an educator who was rated “needs improvement” or “unsatisfactory” by April 15
• Educator and evaluator will meet upon request of either before the end of the school year.
• Educator may reply in writing.
• Educator must sign within 5 days of receipt. Signature does not indicate agreement.
