Education
Did not the Father from above
Mint our first parents for his coin?
And is he not keen that we should succeed,
That our nature to his nature enjoin?
Yet our nature is only controllable
When its laws are found and known,
And that means Education,
Without it we're soon overthrown.
If we unleash the forces of unreason,
Then chaos triumphant soon reigns,
And the powers that are always waiting
Will be worshipped disguised with new names.
Aroused from their slumber of ages,
They will scorn G-d's intensive plan
And teach a perverse doctrine,
To the detriment of Man.
So to those elect, having peculiar grace
This burden in part must fall,
To rekindle the light of learning
And Man's true nature recall.
If not we are a ruined creation
And bitter tears will surely be shed.
We will lose what peace we have in our hearts
And we will war with each other instead.
