What Changed 2010-2011?

Sometimes people ask what has changed on the xB between the 2008-2010 models, and the 2011-present models.

 Exterior:

• The engine, driveline, exhaust, suspension, tires/wheels, main body panels, hood, front fenders, doors, rear hatch, and roof for 2008-2013 xB are the same

• The front and rear end treatments for the 2008-2010 xb are the same: "dual slot" similar size upper/lower front grills, single front lamp on each side for running and turns, rear red brake/turn lights, integrated rear reflectors, single separate reverse light on the left

• The front and rear end treatments for the 2011-present xb are the same: slim upper/visually larger lower front grills, separate front white running lights and front amber turn lights, rear red brake/amber turn lights, dual integrated reverse lights, dual separate reflectors mounted low in the rear bumper

• The fake "cheek vents" in the front bumper become wider for 2011 and the outline is different

• The shape of the headlights is the same however the 2011-present xb headlights have an extra wire for the separate turn signal bulb.

• The tail lights between 2008-2010 and 2011-present are slightly different (for example 2011 tail lights mounted on a 2010 leave a slight gap at the bottom of the light)

• The 2013 xB has factory Daytime Running Lights in lieu of front cheek vents and a slightly different rear bumper with a black (some people say "diffuser-like") accent along the bottom edge

Interior:

• revised front seat contours

• revised seat fabrics

• 2008-2010 has folding armrest for driver only, 2011-2013 has adjustable fore/aft center armrest

• 2008-2010 has fixed plastic tray below rear seat bench, 2011-2013 has carpet

• 2008-2010 has fixed steering column, 2011-2013 has tilt/telescopic steering column

• 2008-2010 has silver instrument panel, 2011-2013 has black panel

• 2008-2010 has Coolant Temp gauge, 2011-2013 replaces Coolant Temp gauge with a digital clock and digital outside temp, adds Coolant Temp idiot lights

• for 2010-2011, base Pioneer head unit has preamp outputs, remote USB socket, and remote Aux input

• for 2012-2013, new base head unit adds Bluetooth
