Singleness is a state all of us go through at one time or another, and for short or extended periods of time. As young single adults consider God's purposes for them, they often wrestle with God's will for them in their singleness. Several resources that can be used as references when working through this are below;
Grace and singleness - knowing if you are "called" to singleness - Jaime Rasmussen at Scottsdale Bible Church

Great book from Lisa Smith on God's calling for singles
So you may feel that you are not called to singleness and that you want to pursue a relationship that can result in marriage.
Since marriage is the partnership of two individuals humbly seeking to know, love and serve God, it is very important to seek Him first and wait on him to develop your purpose, passions and plans before you attempt to partner with anyone. Otherwise you will be very frustrated since all the people you date and try to build relationships with will be seeking you out of their own purposes based on pride and selfishness, and will only bring confusion, conflict, and resulting problems and pain.
