Parking

Park in Park Drive. As you drive up through Llangattock Park Drive is on your left opposite The Horseshoe pub.

Directions

1. Walk back down Park Drive and turn left at the pub. Take the first right, a small road leading to the church. (Look in church). Go through the churchyard to a kissing gate, then follow the path across grassland to the main road opposite Crickhowell bridge.
2. Turn right along the road and past the Vine Tree pub and after about 100m take path by pink house on right. Cross field to enter woodland and follow the path to a tarmac lane. Turn left, and before you reach the caravan site go through the kissing gate on the left. Follow the footpath sign pointing right towards the woods.
3. Go through the gate into the wood, on the right hand side of the wood. Follow the path up through the wood to a gate. Turn left and follow a little path to the canal at Bridge number 112 . turn Left along the canal to the 2nd bridge. Leave the canal here and cross the bridge (NB. Marina on left).
4. Go up the right hand lane and ignore the next lane on the left to the hostel. ( But a good place for a break. ) Pass Wenllan Farm on left and carry on uphill. After approx. ¼ mile, there is an ancient castle in the field just after a footpath on the right.
5. Continue down the lane (Note Bethesda Chapel graveyard on left next to a concrete drive - posible a fever cemetery with graves of parents and children)
6. Ignore lane to left and carry on down to canal, with Brecon Park boats on right.
7. Option 1. From the canal carry on down the road into Llangattock and turn right into Park Drive opposite the Horseshoe.
8. Option 2. Climb down onto canal using the steep stone steps set into the bridge. Be careful.Turn right along towpath to a road crossing the canal. Go down the road and take path on right opposite the Rectory Hotel. Follow the path back into the village and back to cars.
