Leave cars in the Leisure Centre.

Directions

1. Leave Leisure Centre by the bus entrance and turn right right onto Pen y Pound. At the crossroads turn right onto Deri Lane and go approximately 2/3rds mile.
2. Take first footpath on left (over stile), go uphill across field. Cross the stile at the to and turn left along the lane / footpath which follows the Deri past the ‘Smiley Face’.
3. (Optional) Take the path forking upwards to the right to take you up to ‘The Seat’ where the Welsh flag is flying. A good spot to take a break and view Abergavenny below you. Follow the path downwards past the seat to return to the main walk.
4. At the lane turn left past houses and Sunnyvale Farm. Turn right down rough track just after the farm.
5. Cross the ford (take care) or bridge over the Cibi Stream, and go up the lane past the reservoir on your left. Continue to T-junction and go left down the lane.
6. Take 1st left into Chain Road and follow to crossroads. Turn right down Pen y Pound and back to the Leisure Centre.
