Parking

Park at Port y Parc car parc by continuing up Chapel Road straight on uphill (No Through Road) right to the end of the lane.

Directions

1. From the carpark go up the lane at the far end. Keep left of a red house and continue up a farm drive.
2. Turn right along a track just before the 2nd cattle-grid which leads towards Port-y-Prc Farm. Follow the rough track, go through the barrier, then a gate / kissing-gate and follow track through the ancient Deri oakwoods.
3. At the end of the woods go through gate and follow the metalled lane down past houses on your left. Take the bridleway on your left before you reach the farm and two red brick houses.
4. Go through a kissing gate and take left hand path up to ‘The Seat’. which is an old quarry. (Good place to take a break and take in the view of the town.)
5. Follow path down the other side of the Seat and continue left as far as the Smiley Face - can be difficult to see from the path unfortunately.
6. Retrace steps to the start of the bridleway and turn down the lane. Just after Sunnyvale Farm turn right down a rough track. Go down to the ford and up the other side, passing the town reservoir. At the far end turn right to go up lane and back to carpark.
