HOW TO GET TO SENDAI, ISHINOMAKI, KESENNUMA and OOFUNATO as of June 2014

 If you arrived at Nagoya, Tokyo or Narita International Airport, you can get to the restoration projects sites by public transportation as below.

From Nagoya

1) Take JR Super express train (Shinkansen) to JR Tokyo Station first.

*The service is so frequent.

From Tokyo to Sendai

1) Take JR Super express train (Shinkansen) or Express Bus to Sendai

*JR Super Express train service is frequent, but bus service is not, please check the bus schedule.

From Sendai to Ishinomaki

1) Take Public Bus to Ishinomaki at Sendai Station Bus Stop, or

*Miyagi Kotsu>http://www.miyakou.co.jp/cms/express/desc/34/

2) Take JR Tohoku Line ordinary train to Kogota, and transfer JR Ishinomaki Line ordinary train to Ishinomaki, if you have a plenty of time.

From Sendai to Kesennuma

1) Take Public Bus to Kesennuma at Sendai Station Bus Stop, or

*Miyagi Kotsu>http://www.miyakou.co.jp/cms/express/desc/34/

2) Take JR Super express train to Ichinoseki first, then transfer to JR Oofunato Line or Public Bus to get to Kesennuma Station

*JR Oofunato Line's service is not frequent, please check the schedule.
