Change of Status

During your studies, you may want to change your degree programme, take a period of leave from your studies as a Leave of Absence or withdraw from the University or apply to repeat period of study. As a PGT student you may also need to apply for an extension to the time limit of your studies.

It is recommend that in advance of applying for any change of status that you:

• Make an appointment with your Academic Tutor for support and to explore your options

• Seek specialist advice and guidance from the University support services about how the change of status may impact on your fees and funding and/or visa

• Contact your Programme Officer if you need any help completing the form

• Complete the relevant change of status form and return this to your Programme Officer for submission to the Student Admin Service

• Discuss with your Programme Officer about implications on your NHS Bursary (MA/Social Work students only)
