Support
During your time with us you may experience difficult circumstances that impact on your studies and ability to engage with university life. There are a range of services in the Department and University to support whatever you may be going through.
It is important that you inform the Department promptly and access appropriate support by:
Contacting your Academic Tutor by email and having a 1:1 appointment in person or via Google Meet
Completing an Authorised Absence Request Form or an Extenuating Circumstances Form (in the Assessment Handbook) if what you are experiencing is impacting on your ability to engage with your studies, attend teaching, or complete academic work
Seeking help from a range of university support services and the Students' Union Advice Centre appropriate to your needs. This includes wellbeing, mental health, disability and financial support.
We also have a list of Frequently Asked Questions which might offer some guidance on the various aspects of university life.
For information specifically relating to Coronavirus (Covid-19), please visit the University's webpage here.
