Sheffield Mentors

Sheffield Mentors are volunteer second or third-year undergraduate students who have undergone training so they can help you transition to life at University.

When you apply for a student Mentor, they will try to match you with someone who is in your department and, if possible, on your course. You can ask them about life in Sheffield, events and activities, or meeting new people - it's up to you.

You can apply for a Mentor if you are:

  • a foundation-year student

  • an Erasmus or study abroad student

  • a mature student, from any department

  • a first-year undergraduate student

You can apply during your online pre-registration or at any time during your first semester - just visit this webpage.
