Aims
To provide learning experiences that challenge and extend students’ beliefs about physical activity and its role in their lifestyle
To foster relationships, social skills, and a sense of how they can contribute to the physial activity needs of their community
To acquire and develop physical skills and understand factors that influence skill acquisition
To encourage a respect for the environment by emphasising safe practice, cultural awareness and conservation
To implement and evaluate a range of activities and their influence on people’s health and wellbeing

Assessments are both practical and written. All assessments are internal.

Full course completion — 20 credits NCEA Level 3 Physical Education (selected from the opportunities below)

Prior knowledge required
