Scientific Research Based Interventions (SRBI)

Scientific Research Based Interventions (SRBI) is an early intervention program to help students within the regular educational setting. The members of the team may consist of professional school staff from various disciplines: the principal, guidance counselor, school psychologist, speech/language pathologist, reading specialist, nurse, special and general education teachers. To make a referral to SRBI, a parent or teacher completes a form requesting assistance from the SRBI members. The reasons someone may make a referral to SRBI include behavior, academic, and/or emotional concerns. The team develops an action plan to address the concerns brought to SRBI.
