A variety of criteria including performance level on standardized testing, content specific grades and teacher recommendation are utilized in determining a student’s ability level.  

Each subject area (English, History, Math, and Science) will be considered separately.  Students may take one or more Honors level courses if the qualifying criteria is met.

To qualify to take an Honors level course, students must have

• An A- average in a course in the same subject area.

• A recommendation from current subject area teacher.

• A recommendation from school counselor.
