In special circumstances, and provided that all graduation requirements have been met, a student may be permitted to graduate early.
Students seeking early graduation must first meet with their Guidance Counselor to review and plan for completion of all graduation requirements. If early graduation appears to be a viable option, the Guidance Counselor will schedule a second meeting with the student, the student’s parent or guardian, the Principal, and the Guidance Counselor to discuss whether the student is an appropriate candidate for early graduation.
Students considered for early graduation must demonstrate excellent attendance, minimal tardiness, strong academic standing, and an absence of disciplinary issues.
Following the meeting with the Principal, if the student is deemed an appropriate candidate, the student will be required to submit a formal written request to the Superintendent seeking approval for early graduation. The Superintendent, at their sole discretion, may approve the request, deny the request, or require an additional meeting with the student and parent or guardian prior to making a determination.
Students who graduate early forfeit the right to participate in all remaining school activities, sports and clubs, including senior activities, prom, and participation in the end-of-year graduation ceremony.
