Student-athletes who are not physically able to participate in physical education will not be eligible to physically participate in after school athletics at Seymour High School.  A doctor’s note, excusing a student from physical education class, will automatically disqualify a student athlete from participating in Seymour High School after school athletics until they have been cleared by their doctor to participate in physical education class and after school Seymour High School athletic activities.  Furthermore these classes must be made up with the physical education teacher following the normal missed class procedures. Student-athletes may still be required to attend practices (but may not physically participate) at the discretion of their respective coaches.
