The E-cigarette/Vaporizer Procedure has been updated due to a change in state laws. Under Public Act No. 15-206 possession of these devices will be handled under the school policy governing Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco possession as well as actions leading to disciplinary action number’s 15 and 17. Confiscated devices and oil/juice or other items used in conjunction with the device will be confiscated and turned over to the proper authorities.

Students will be subject to the following disciplinary actions should they be caught vaping, or are in possession of a vape device, vape juice or oils.

• Students will be reported to the police for violating state statutes. They will be subject to legal penalties and infractions as deemed necessary.
• Students will be suspended from school for possession or use of a controlled substance.
• Vape devices, vape juice or oils will be confiscated and not returned.
