San Jose Job Corps

If you missed this event, here are some general details (as of 9/22/21):

Currently we are only accepting students in our Residential program. (Our Non Residential option is currently frozen until it is approved by the Dept of Labor).

We are accepting new applications at this time.

A general overview of our current enrollment process is as follows:

  1. Prospective Students are ages 16-24 years

  2. Prospective student attends a Zoom orientation offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 am

  3. Applicant is assigned an Admissions Counselor who will guide them through the entire admissions process.

  4. Once applicant is accepted into the program, they will enter into a 60 day (8 week) distance learning phase. Students will complete this period virtually. We provide them with free Chromebooks and hotspots.

  5. After their first 60 days is completed online, they will receive a start date to arrive on center to begin their in-person training phase on campus. All new students arriving on center will have to fulfill a mandatory 14 day quarantine after which they will be moved to a permanent dorm room and paired with a roommate. (During quarantine they will take classes online from their quarantine dorm room).

  6. Residential students currently are not permitted to leave campus on weekends or to take time-off until COVID-19 restrictions are in place.
