Harvey Zeytuntsyan

About

Harvey Zeytuntsyan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he concentrated his studies on Psychology (social psychology/empirical research) and Public Affairs (public policy/policy research). At UCLA, Harvey was a teaching assistant and enrichment section co-instructor for upper-division undergraduate courses. Afterward, he earned his Juris Doctor at the University of San Diego, School of Law. In law school, he focused his coursework on law and economics, employment law, intellectual property, and legal policy. His paper, “The Sustainable Knowledge Enterprise: Encouraging Employee Collaboration While Protecting Intellectual Property with the Strategic Use of Trade Secret Law,” earned him the CALI Excellence Award in Corporate Innovation (Intellectual Property) and Legal Policy, and is available on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).

In the last half decade, he has practiced law (currently admitted in CA and MA) and contributed to training and developing training materials for paralegal team members and organizations of various sizes. He has separately published brief introductory overviews for prospective paralegal professionals through the Udemy course learning platform. Most recently, he was also actively involved at his prior firm’s diversity group and has been a volunteer mentor for various first-generation law student events at a local law school. He was also previously a national co-chair for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division: Immigration and Nationality Committee and an active member of AILA. He’s written, co-written, or helped edit practice notes, practice alerts, practice manuals, and related pieces on a variety of substantive as well as law practice management (LPM) and technology topics.

Throughout his career, Harvey has always had the opportunity to formally and informally teach and train team members and organizations as well as students. From as early as his time at UCLA, where he was a teaching assistant and later enrichment section co-instructor, Harvey knew he enjoyed breaking down complex topics and showing people the bigger picture. He’s carried that approach with him through his practice, where he takes every opportunity to guide, teach, and explain. At San Diego College of Continuing Education, he is teaching the LAWS 510 course series as an Adjunct for the Emeritus department,  including classes providing an overview of Legal Topics as well as classes on Consumer Protection for older adults.
