Writer's Workshop Accomplishments

Published works for students of Writer's Workshop

  • Clara Frank’s story “Cliché” has now been published in the newest issue of the online journal Scribes*Micro*Fiction: http://www.fairfieldscribes.com/issue-15.html. Her story is the fourth piece on the left-hand side. She is in terrific company, where other contributors are of the caliber of professionals with PhD’s and Pushcart Prize nominations

  • Our two students who were honored in the Special Sections of The Reader’s 2022 Writing Contest, Manuel Pia and Akiko Russotto, also have their writing available online. Manuel’s story, “Yippie,” is published as part of their first announcement of winners here: https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2022/feb/23/cover-2022-writing-contest-winners/. Manuel's story is third from the bottom, and we are thrilled to see his writing we workshopped in class receive this honor (and payment too!).

  • Akiko’s poem, “A Day in Banker’s Hill,” was published both in the second list of winners (https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2022/mar/02/cover-changing-guard/) and given its own link: https://www.sandiegoreader.com/photos/2022/mar/02/147260/
