After you have set up your student email along with the authentication, you can view the email anywhere. All you will need is your student sdccd email address and your password (portal).
Forward method
The easiest method is to forward your email to a preferred email account. Directions to do this are included on the View your email online page. (Scroll to the bottom) From then on, you would use your regular email platform (Google, AOL) to read your student emails.
In a web browser
You can also view your student email on any web browser by going to outlook.office.com. Login with your student email address and password. See column on the right for choosing how to proceed.
Three possible screens when visiting outlook
Fresh start screen: Enter your student email and select "next"
Account showing, not your account. Select: Use another account, enter your student email and click next.
Account showing with no options. Delete email address and insert student account and click next.
From an app
You can download the Outlook app from the play store and install it on your device. Then login with your student email address and password.
