Wednesday, September 18th, was our yearly Keller Junior High (KJH) walk-a-thon! This is a fundraiser for Stomping Out Hunger. The 7th graders collected 967 items, 476 more than the 8th graders. For a reward to everybody, KJH organized an event that was full of fun games like hula hoop, Giant Jenga, a three-legged race, glitter tattoos, and a station to dye your hair any color you want for a day. Our Wildcats sure stayed busy! In addition, students chose to walk and talk with their friends. Mr. Levia and Mr. Gear organized amazing songs behind the school's DJ set. Students also helped out by organizing the Keller food pantry and helping out in the community garden. Athletes played volleyball and/or basketball in the gym. At the end of the walk-a-thon, there was an assembly where students got to pie Mr. Barbini, Mr. Molby, and Mr. Aguilar directly in the face. The Wildcats ended the day with our Keller teacher band playing some catchy songs. Thank you all for your donation to Stomp Out Hunger. Keep the good work up!

The Keller staff did their BEST to engage the students in fun activities to bring joy in their day. Outside, some students choose to play soccer, while others decided to play some board games. In the gymnasium, there was a volleyball station, a basketball station, there was a giant Connect 4, and the most exciting spot to be was the tattoo station. Music played in the background and when “Mic Drop”, by BTS, suddenly started playing, a group of girls commenced to dancing. The group definitely tried their best to copy the song’s moves, but it is by far one of the hardest dance choreographies to preform. Outside of the gym, two ping pong stations were set up for students to play. In the lunchroom, pizza was served and students could just pop in and hang out with friends. The Back-To-School Bash was filled with happiness. Hope you had fun there!
