Three short words;
"I love you..."
Could either bring pieces of broken hearts
Or break hearts.
The sound,
"I love you..."
in the listener's ear
is a drug.
Often, when someone says,
"I love you..."
What they are really saying is,
"I love the feeling of loving you."
Before someone falls in love
they should think:
Do I really love this person,
or just how it makes me feel?
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Sits in the sky.
I see it began to flicker
And after came her cry!
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Looks down on us all.
I see it begin to take a step
And after a second, I see her fall.
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Falling down
Same as a apple falls from a tree
Wearing a frown.
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Laying on the ground.
Looking over at the moon
A home it never found.
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Whose light is fading.
Cold and crying.
Spending her whole life waiting.
I am alone in the sky.
Like a lonely star
Blinks her goodbyes.
As her light goes out
And she then slowly dies!
A bright light at the end of a tunnel,
The shadows seem to dance around me.
At the base of the tunnel is an object;
Two black shoes stare up at me.
I ask myself, "Should I take the shoes,
Or leave them for someone else to find?"
I go to the opening of the tunnel.
I listen closely and hear no trains,
I look closely and see no movement.
You never know, the light could be a train.
I decide to take the shoes and I advance
Even though I see no evidence of any trains
I am wary and my mind is arguing. But still, I step in the long tunnel and
I walk.
My old tree
Planted years ago.
I made sure I planted it carefully
Where there was water but no trains,
Where there was sunlight but no trains.
I watched it grow until it was taller than me
But I left it behind.
Maybe it will one day follow my tracks;
Find me on the other side.
But, trees can't walk.
Maybe trees on the other side can.
Maybe I can find a spell for my tree
So it can walk one day to find me.
Before my tree was born,
I was approached by a sorceress and since then
I had a spell of only moving north.
Oh, that terrible blinding spell!
That's when I decided to plant the tree;
It could live a life I could never live.
But, that also means it's going to face troubles
By crossing the tunnel to find me.
When I get to the light, I'm going to go
To the nearest shoe shop and get shoes.
White ones rather than black.
It will be a present for
My tree.
I'm almost at the end of the tunnel now.
I think of my trip towards the light.
The tunnel was shorter than I thought,
And the lights are even brighter than before.
I step up to it and inhale a deep breath.
I'm about to go but it comes to me;
The light is blinding.
