Cheer Tryouts

The first day of the tryouts was on Thursday, October 24th, and it was in the health room. There, students who tried out learned the cheer sideline from a video and a high school student came and taught them the dance. The next day, they went in the activity room where they would audition for the team. They each received a number and were assigned to wear it in order to know who each student was that was showing off what they learned. For the audition, they took groups of three each. From here, they would show them the sideline cheer and the dance that they learned while everyone else was facing the wall. This was done so that they wouldn't look at the people who were auditioning and make them nervous. Around 5 p.m., everyone who auditioned would receive an email to see who made the team. Everyone who tried out did their best and did an awesome job!

Poms Tryouts

And 5, 6, 7, 8: hit one, elbow two, turn hold, down up...

Poms tryouts were as strict as they have been in years. This season's song was "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit. Everyone tried their best to learn the dance in one day and audition the next. Seriously, it was seen how by everyone what an awesome job they did! This season's tryout was a smaller group, so only a couple of people who tried out didn't make it. They put their best effort forward though. Congratulations, everyone! This season is going to rock for poms because...get ready, we punch in one, two, jump three, land four.
