Scheduling & Course Changes for Semester 2 - 2025-26
Dear HSS Students and Families,
Semester 2 schedules are now available on the MyEd BC portal. Students who would like to request a course change must complete the appropriate form:
Grades 10-12 (Last Name A-L): Course Change request 2026 A-L
Grades 10-12 (Last Name M-Z): Course change request 2026 M-Z
**You must use your SD 48 email to fill out the Google Forms**
There will be limited student-booked appointments in February. Instead, counsellors will review all requests submitted through the form. This form is open from Wednesday, January 21, to Tuesday, January 27, at 4:00 pm.
Course changes will be processed in the following order, starting with Grade 12 students:
PRIORITY 1: Incomplete timetable (e.g., fewer than 8 courses or missing a grad required course)
PRIORITY 2: Incorrect course placement (e.g., missing prerequisites or already completed the course)
PRIORITY 3: Missing a required course for post-secondary admission (Grades 11–12 only)
PRIORITY 4: Elective changes
Please be aware that our timetable is very full, and there is extremely limited flexibility. Submitting a course change request may impact your entire schedule and could result in the loss of a preferred elective.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests based on teacher preference or friends in the same class. Students were provided multiple opportunities to select, review and change their selection prior to the scheduling of their timetables.
If you see a course in your schedule that you did not select, it may be because:
You did not choose 8 primary courses and 2 alternates
Your chosen alternates were unavailable
There was a timetable conflict (some courses run only once per year)
Counsellors will review requests and make any possible changes by January 30, 2026. Please log into MyEdBC after that date to check for any updates to your schedule.
