ACCOUNTING 11 (MAC-11)

This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of accounting, the “language of business.” Students learn how financial information is recorded, organized, and communicated to support decision-making in personal and business contexts. Learn about the essential role accountants play in society and the lucrative and rewarding jobs that exist in the field. Please note that Accounting 11 does not satisfy the Math 11 graduation requirements.

COMPUTER SCIENCE 11 (MCMPR-11)

Computer Science 11 explores the foundations of modern computing through a broad range of topics with an emphasis on programming and software development. Dive into technical concepts like the Internet and how AI works and explore the impacts of technology on society. Learn knowledge and skills to live and meaningfully participate in our increasingly digital society, economy, and culture. Previous programming experience is not required.

COMPUTER SCIENCE 12 (MCMPR-12)

CS12 is a rigorous course with a focus on object-oriented programming and software development. Other topics of study include Big Data, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and the impact of technology on society. An understanding of Computer Science is essential in demystifying our rapidly changing world. Position yourself to take advantage of emerging technologies like AI to achieve personal and career-related goals.

CONTENT CREATION 11 AND 12 (MDFT-11/MDFT-12)

Students will explore digital content creation across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, podcasts, and blogs. They'll learn personal branding, multimedia production, storytelling, and audience engagement strategies, as well as ethical media practices, marketing, and monetization skills. Students will complete individual and group projects and build a digital portfolio. No prior experience needed—just creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

ECONOMICS 12 (MEC—12)

Economics is the study of choices and how we make them, individually and as a society. It is the study of money, markets, power and politics. The world is not short on problems. Economics can provide solutions. Learn about what this looks like at the local and global level and equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to make sense of the world.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP 12 (MENT-12)

This course is designed for students who wish to explore product development, marketing skills, and strategies that apply to every career. Marketing, product design, and accounting principles will be integrated into a variety of projects. Students will gain confidence in their abilities to proceed with new ideas for creative self-employment. This course is delivered in a hybrid format combining both in-class and self-directed remote learning. This option is recommended for students who can manage independent learning, stay disciplined, and can complete coursework and assignments remotely on non-class days.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING 12 (MFA-12)

Financial Accounting 12 builds on concepts from Accounting 11 and extends students’ understanding of financial systems, reporting, and analysis. The course emphasizes the preparation, interpretation, and communication of complex financial information used by businesses and individuals to make decisions. Students will learn how to prepare financial statements, analyze financial performance, and apply accounting concepts to support decision-making in real-world scenarios. Completion of Accounting 11 is recommended.

MEDIA DESIGN 11 (MMEDD-11)

This course introduces digital media creation and supports the development of technical skills that are involved in the design of graphics, illustration, animation, photography and video production. Students learn how to use many of the programs in the Adobe Suite to create original projects and develop a digital portfolio to showcase their work.

DIGITAL MEDIA DEVELOPMENT 12 (MDMD-12)
