Students will learn basic accounting and business bookkeeping practices. All students will complete exercises that are similar to the records kept by a small business including balance sheets, T-accounts, ledgers, journals, trial balance, income statements, worksheets, adjustments, and closing. Please note that Accounting 11 does not satisfy the Math 11 graduation requirements.
This is a practical hands-on course that builds on skills and knowledge acquired in Accounting 11. All students will complete exercises that are similar to the records kept by a small business including payroll, inventory, cash control systems, assets, debts, and tax systems. Recommended prerequisite: Accounting 11.
