Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how an individual processes information and interprets the world.
Core features of autism are persistent deficits in social interaction and communication; and restricted, repetitive or stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests or activities.
