Registration for SHSAT is NOW open at MySchools.nyc
Register for the SHSAT by November 15. Registration is now open for the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT), which determines admissions to the eight testing Specialized High Schools.
If you are interested in applying to any/all of these schools, submit your registration—including your school preferences—by the November 15 deadline.
Test. All registered students will take the SHSAT in December 2021.
Registered 8th grade students who attend a public DOE middle school will test at their current school during the school day on Thursday, December 2.
Eight of the Specialized High Schools require students to register for and take a test—the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT)— to qualify for admission. These high schools are:

The Brooklyn Latin School
Brooklyn Technical High School
High School for Math, Science and
Engineering at City College
High School of American Studies at Lehman College
Queens High School for the Sciences at York College
Staten Island Technical High School
Stuyvesant High School
