Guidance Counselor

The school guidance counselor provides a wide-range of services to support student growth and achievement.
Support students in meeting their social/emotional needs, academic, and career goals
Support families, school leaders, and school staff
Provide crisis intervention, individual, and group counseling
Provide team building and classroom culture development through Restorative Circles
Provide conflict resolution sessions through Tier II/III Restorative Practice
Assist students with transitioning to high schools
The school guidance counselor works with teachers, administrators and other support staff to identify students' needs.
This may include classroom lessons, short-term counseling (individual and small group), crisis intervention and academic support for students. They help connect families to appropriate local agencies.
