Happy Monday! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend. As we start another week together, is there anything that you would like to share today?
We will begin with Chocolate Mousse... Celebrated each April 3rd, Chocolate Mousse is a sweet or savory dish made as a smooth light mass with whipped cream and beaten egg white and typically served chilled. In French, the word Mousse means foam.....Let's see if you are a fan.
This will be followed by a review of the Celtics Basketball game from Sunday. After a 144-102 win over the Washington Wizards, this is the last week of the NBA season. We will check out some statistics and talk percentage.
Today is also International Carrot Day. Let's check our the record for chopping a carrot into more than 50 slices in 30 seconds. Will Hiroyuki Terada be successful?

We will start with a celebration of Peanut Butter and Jelly...Although this holiday was celebrated on April 2nd, we will check it out today. Did you know an 18 ounce jar of peanut butter will contain about 850 peanuts? The recipe for today is Fried peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Are you a fan? Can you work with the recipe? What percentage of 6-2 students will enjoy this particular food item?
The most peanut butter and jelly sandwiches eaten in one minute is 6 and was achieved by Patrick Bertoletti at Sierra Studios, in East Dundee, Illinois, USA, on January 14th, 2012. Using this information and assuming a constant rate of speed, how many sandwiches would he be able to eat in 3.5 minutes?
700 people made history during a special Project PB&J Spreading Party in 2016. In just one hour, volunteers made 39,303 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, setting a new record for the Guinness Book of World Records. On average, how many sandwiches were made by the group per minute?

Next is a celebration of Twinkie Day. Invented in 1930, we will chat about unique flavors, competitive eating, and more. Matt Stonie enjoys some Twinkie action. He once competed in the World Twinkie Eating Championship. A six minute contest, how many did he eat and what was the calorie count when he was done? Today also marks the celebration of Table Tennis Day. To celebrate, we will check out a record for the most ping pong balls caught on shaving cream on the head in 30 seconds.

April 7th marks the celebration of Coffee Cake Day. Are you a fan of Coffee Cake Cookies? We will find out. What percentage of 6-2 students will enjoy this particular food item? Can you predict?
April 7th is also International Beaver Day. After checking out some Beaver facts, we will chat about the swimming speed of a beaver. Did you know that a beaver can swim at a rate of speed of 7.3 feet per second. The average human can swim at a rate of speed of 2.9 feet per second (both are approximate measures of speed). Using this information, how far would a beaver swim in 20 seconds?
After that...Burritos are on deck! Leah Shutkever will attempt to eat a 1.3 pound burrito in under 50 seconds in hopes of becoming a new world record holder.
