Students picked an inspirational quote and wrote a paragraph explaining it. They also picked a related image to go with it. The winning entries used the CNC machine and a halftone generator to turn their image and quote into artwork. The artwork was put up around the school and students will take it home at the end of the year. All GTT students completed an entry in class and the contest was opened to the entire school.

Students used Adobe Illustrator to design a toy car which we cut out on the CNC. Students created multiple slices of the car, outside, inside with seat, inside without seat, etc, These slices were cut out of a board and students glued them together to make their cars.

Students in GTT did a cross curricular Ecology project with 7th grade science. Each student picked an organism from one of the 4 local ecosystems, sage scrub, desert, kelp forest, or rocky intertidal. Students researched about their organism, wrote a paragraph highlighting how it fits into the food web, and designed a plaque. We laser cut the plaques and students made and glued a frame to it. The finished plaques were installed to the fence outside iMiddle so everyone could learn about our local ecosystems.Â
