Trumpeter players frequently utilize mutes (most commonly the straight mute, cup mute, and Harmon mute). Putting them in and taking them out of the bell takes time, especially if care is required. These mutes sit on the ground while not in use, and players must reach down to pick them up. These high-priced electronics are regularly damaged and dented. A platform that can hold these three types of mutes (together with ancillary items) in a convenient position can reduce the damage caused by mishandling mutes and the time it takes to replace them, saving both time and money. Through basic market research, we discovered a fundamental concept: a framework that can hold multiple mutes and is secured to a music stand with a C-clamp or equivalent clamping mechanism. The mute holder was made with a Laser Cutter.

Ocean pollution continues to be a significant problem that impacts not only coastal areas but also local waterways. Existing solutions are targeted at tackling the difficulties that are already affecting our marine life; there is already a large amount of rubbish in the ocean and other bodies of water. Our prototype shows that it can reduce pollution and garbage buildup in our streams and oceans, preventing more trash from entering the ocean. We designed a device that sits in the gutter's entrance and allows water to flow through while catching all of the debris.
