Intermediate Theater Arts. The second year’s instruction in drama emphasizes the practical application of dramatic theory and relates dramatic expression to cultural development by involving students in a variety of production techniques, including makeup, analysis and stagecraft. Research and performance of scenes with historical and/or cultural context are covered. Students will study the storytelling tradition. They will do an in-depth analysis on Kabuki, Moliere, and Chekhov. Students will direct and perform a one-act play in front of a large audience.
