This course teaches problem solving skills using the design development process. Students learn how to express ideas graphically by means of freehand sketching and instrument drawings.. Students design, draft, compute, create, analyze, and learn standard engineering procedures using advanced design software. Puzzle cubes, desktop organizers, and toys are a few of the many projects students design. The course will use an interdisciplinary approach providing students a chance to see the real-world applicability of the math, science, and English concepts and skills they are learning in their required academic courses. Provides an excellent preparation for Principles of Engineering.
Community college credit can be earned if a student maintains a B or higher grade for both semesters.
