This course introduces students to the field of engineering and engineering technology through a hands-on project based curriculum. Students are presented with real world engineering problems to see how math, science and technology are used in engineering/manufacturing processes, and technology systems. Students will see first hand how engineering can benefit mankind as well as social and political consequences of technological change.
Instruction covers civil, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering. Students use equipment that includes computers, measuring instruments, and drafting equipment. College credit can be earned if a student maintains a B or higher grade for both semesters.
