This one- or two-hour per day course provides preparation for secondary teaching and related careers on the PHHS campus. Instruction is the same as above, but students will be assigned to a PHHS teacher on campus for training as a teaching assistant for two 18-week rotations with 75 hours on campus (four 18-week rotations and 150 hours on campus for the two-hour-per-day course). Two high school credits will be earned for successful completion of the course (four credits for the two-hour-per-day course).
Note: Three units of articulated college credit are awarded with a grade of B or better and an application (six units for the 2-hour-per-day course). See the Teaching Academy page for more information
