Leading Lines

The subject of this image is a fake flower. The image was taken in the new stairwell in the new wing of the high school. I made this image by threading it through the mesh on the side of the stairs. I then took the image facing up to the skylight to have the image backlit. I chose to make this image because I like the design and of the mesh and thought the two colors would work well together. This image has leading lines as the title suggests and it also uses rule of thirds. It has a high horizon line with selective focus. I began by taking a few of these images facing down with the floor in the background and that didn't look good. When editing I wasn't sure which prompt I wanted to use because depending on the color used in this, the image can fit any of the 4 prompts. I ended up choosing the second. I really like to use colors in my images and I walk on those stairs pretty frequently so I have some connection to them. As far as a meaning, I suppose it shows how nature can thrive in a building(ignoring that the flower is plastic). I think the image would be stronger if I used a real flower.
