01. Inspired Photography

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This project was a follow up project to an essay we did previously. In the essay, we had to look into the lives of past Film photographers. On of the photographers I choose was Sally Mann. Her photography is mostly very dark and mysterious, and I wanted to replicate that in my photo. I myself don't really enjoy taking pictures of people, so I just found a scene from somewhere in my school. Then when, I was developing it, I accidentally didn't get it totally covered in the developer, so it came out a bit cloudy. But I decided that I enjoyed the way it looked when it was cloudy. I felt that it made the image look more mysterious.
