10. Pastel project

ARTIST STATEMENT:

The assignment for this project was to create an image using and mixing oil pastels. Each square of the image had to be one color. So, when I started this project, I didn't realize that we couldn't divide the squares, so I did the hat the same way as in the image. Then after that, I started doing the project the right way. One difficulty was the fact that this picture was of a woman who uses body paint and this is one of her looks, making the project look like an alien.
