13. Block Prints

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This project was not my favorite. We had to take a picture and carve it into a block and stamp it on to different things. The first one was black and white and the print could just be normal, unaltered. The second had to be drawn, in other words, had to have something drawn over it. The third one had to be alternate background, so, we had to use something other than the normal just plain white paper as the background. The fourth one was your own choice, and I used the cover of a manga that I really like as the background. I don't like printing, and I was never able to get enough ink on the block, so most of these are splotchy.
