09. Color design

ARTIST STATEMENT:

For this project, we were challenged to create an image where we used 84 color combinations. This project is one that I am very proud of. We started of with playing around with shades and tints on a primary color and a secondary color. Then, we moved on to the project. I decided yet again, to just doodle and see how it turned out. Then, after a little bit of doodling, I decided to do a flower with four petals and each petal representing an element, because I love the elements. Then, with the remaining colors, I put then in circles on the outside, as an ombre from light to dark. One challenge was making the circles all even and in the right place. I ended up using a piece of parchment paper with a circle cut into it as a template.
