Written Reflection:

I never did this much art before in one year. It is awesome that I could try so many different ways of creating art in the foundations of art class. This class was one of my most favourite classes although I struggled at the beginning of the year with being creative. I never really had to be this creative in my life and it is not that easy to be creative. The beginning of a good artwork is to have an idea of what you want to draw or want to paint. That was one of the most difficult decisions.

When I decided what I wanted to draw or paint it was so much fun! Often it took me really long to finish a painting/drawing. I learned, that for a good art work you need time! The longer I worked on something, the better was the result and it also got easier with the time because I got used to the material. Never give up on a painting/drawing.

I am really proud of my surrealism painting. I liked the challenge to mix the right colors as in the picture. It was also really fun to paint with acrylic paint, because those colors came out really strong. The project with the scratchboard was really fun too. I loved how simple it is, but also so strong because of the contrast of white and black. I just loved that we could try so many different things in this short time.
