Animal sculpture

Artists Statement:

This is the second sculpture of foundations of art. It is a grey wolf and it's on the endangered species list. I started with building an amerture out of newspaper and tape. That what a really long process. It was difficult to form the shape of a wolf. After, I created texture with aluminum foil and packing peanuts I tried to form a similar shape. I thought that the colors are fitting pretty good too. I attached each piece with hot glue (that was a long and sometimes a hurtful process). At the end I struggled with the standing up of the wolf but I decided that it looks okay when he is leaning of his tail.

I am proud of my final sculpture. I love the texture and I just think that wolves are beautiful creatures that need protection.
