QuestBridge

QuestBridge is a non-profit that has worked since 1994 to connect bright, motivated, low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation's best colleges. Through the National College Match Program, partner colleges offer admission and over $100 million in financial aid to students who apply. Some students receive full four-year scholarships covering the full cost of tuition, room and board. Partner colleges include may of the nation's top universities and liberal arts colleges, such as Amherst, MIT, Stanford, and Yale. The online application for this program is due at the end of September. It is free to apply, and students selected as finalists will also have application fees waived at all partner colleges.

Who Qualifies as a Quest Scholar?

Most finalists are in the top 10% of their class, come from households earning less than $60,000 annually for a typical family of four, and may be on their school's free or reduced lunch price program. How Does the Process Work?

1. Application and Review: Students submit the QuestBridge application online by the end of September. The application requires information on the student's financial background and academic achievements, as well as essays and short answer responses, three letter of recommendation, a transcript, and test scores. QuestBridge selects finalists and forwards their applications to partner colleges.

2. The College Match: QuestBridge matches select finalists and colleges based on their mutual preferences. Admissions and scholarship notifications are issued at the beginning of December.

3. Regular Decision: Finalists who are not matched can apply free of charge to partner colleges through the QuestBridge Regular Decision process.
