NHS Membership Requirements

National Honor Society Members are required to work hard academically to keep their grades above the required 3.0 GPA. They must serve as a model for good leadership skills, excellent character in and outside of school, and to serve their community to the best of their ability.

Members must attend all NHS meetings during their junior and senior year promptly and unfailingly, except with prior permission from the advisor.

Members must complete one 8-hour individual community service project before graduation their senior year, as well as fully participate in all club group projects. Group projects may include, but are not limited to, school volunteerism, community volunteerism, and fundraising events.

Failure to meet any of these membership requirements may result in membership probation or revocation of membership status. Once revoked, membership cannot be reinstated. Students who fail to meet membership requirements will be notified in writing by the NHS advisor and counseled prior to membership being fully revoked.
