NCAA Clearing House

If you intend to participate in Division I or II athletics as a freshman, you must register and be certified by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse.

Prospective student-athletes may register with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse on-line. By registering on-line, prospects will be able to view their eligibility information on-line, and will not have to call the clearinghouse for eligibility updates. On-line registration saves time, and allows prospective student-athletes to view their eligibility status up to six weeks faster than through the paper registration process.

Once you have completed the on-line registration please notify Mrs. Rouillard-Hill in the Guidance Office so your transcript can be sent to NCAA. After you graduate from high school a final transcript will automatically be sent to the NCAA to confirm that you have graduated.

If you intend to participate in Division I or II athletics as a freshman in college, you must be registered with and be certified as eligible by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse.

When should I register?

You should apply for certification after your junior year in high school if you are sure you wish to participate in intercollegiate athletics as a freshman at a Division I or II institution.

Is there a deadline to register?

There is no deadline to register with the Clearinghouse. However, you must be certified before receiving an athletic scholarship, or practicing/competing at a Division I or II institution.

Are standardized test scores required?

Qualifying test scores are required for participation at both Division I and II colleges.

How can I arrange for my scores to be sent directly from the testing agency?

When you register to take the ACT or SAT, you can mark the code 9999 so that the Clearinghouse will be one of the institutions receiving your scores.
